About the Album
Released in 1986, Licensed to Ill is the debut studio album by the Beastie Boys. Produced by Rick Rubin and released by Def Jam Recordings, this album features hits like "Fight For Your Right" and "No Sleep Till Brooklyn," blending hip-hop with rock elements. The iconic cover art, featuring a plane with the band's logo, embodies the album's rebellious spirit and youthful energy, helping to shape the direction of hip-hop in the 80s.
Framing
- Our Shadow Box Float frame creates a stunning 3-dimensional effect by placing your album on a pedestal within a shadow-box frame. This style allows the artwork to appear floating inside a deeper-set frame. The pedestal sits on 4-ply white mat board and allows for a 1.5" border from the artwork to the inside of the frame.
- Side One (or Side A) of the vinyl record label is always displayed facing front. On Double LPs, Side Three (or Side C) is also facing front.
- Premium hardwood frames come in black and white.
- Album is protected behind artist-grade UV-blocking acrylic glass.
- Hardware is already attached so your piece is ready to hang upon arrival.
- Each order is custom-made and handcrafted with pride in the USA, quality guaranteed.
